Job description
DNM are looking for a Business Intelligence/ Data Warehouse Architect with a broad technical background, to provide technical expertise and leadership to our Business Intelligence Team. The Business Intelligence Architect will ideally have previous experience of working within a Consultancy or Systems Integrator.
Role Responsibilities
- Architecting, Designing, Implementing and Supporting data warehouse and business intelligence solutions, including the ability to present and negotiate with stakeholders on designs produced
- Develop an understanding of client's KPI's or performance metrics - working with end users
- Mentor the BI team on solution delivery
- Creation of accurate level of estimates and project plans in initial phases of projects
- Responsible for the technical delivery of the overall solution - either solely or working within a delivery team
Technical Skills and Expertise
- Experience and demonstrated competencies with multi-dimensional design, star schemas, facts and dimensions
- Expertise in logical and physical data warehouse database design (Oracle OBIEE)
- Experience and demonstrated competencies in ETL development techniques
- Experience in data warehouse performance optimisation
- Implement enterprise wide ETL and OBIEE reporting standards that will allow for optimal coded solutions to be built going forward
- Ability to Evangelise BI within the team
Preferred Technologies
At least 5 years deep knowledge and experience with BI/DW tools, technologies and products and essential technical skills working with two of the following:
- Oracle Business Intelligence Enter:prise Edition (OBIEE)
- Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB)
- Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Microsoft Project Plan
- SQL Developer Data Modeller (or another modelling tool)
Personal Competencies
- Highly motivated self starter with a "can-do" attitude
- Strong customer-facing skills
- Good listening, communication and documentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and priortise
- Full driving license and willingness to travel within Ireland
